This classic canoe trip down the Yukon River from Whitehorse to Dawson City is specially tailored for visitors who like to travel far away from tourist routes, following the trail of the old history. En route, we pass many relics of the historic gold rush of 1898 and we explore several abandoned settlements. Camps are set up on the gravel and sand banks of the mighty river. In the evenings we grill fresh fish, collect firewood for our campfire and listen to the stories of our guide about the legends of the Yukon. We will also learn a lot about life and survival in the wilderness. We will also have the opportunity to meet some of the animal inhabitants of this great wilderness: bald eagles, moose, black bear and even grizzly bears are often seen on these trips. Previous canoeing experience is not necessary. Before the tour starts participants will receive instruction.
