Overview

Experience Western Canada’s amazing landscapes by hiking the most beautiful trails with a small group of fellow adventurists and an experienced guide. The route leads through the spectacular Rocky Mountain National Parks, Wells Gray Park, the Coast Mountain range and the West Coast of Vancouver Island. This country is home to black and grizzly bears, moose and bald eagles - with any luck we will be able to observe these animals in their natural habitat. You will rest in comfortable accommodations, so each morning the group will wake up refreshed and ready for another adventure.

Calgary Arrive in Calgary and make your own way to the Sandman Hotel Calgary Airport. Meet your fellow travellers and tour guide during the pre-trip information session before the adventure begins. Overnight is at the Sandman Hotel Calgary Airport.

Calgary - Banff - Banff National Park After exploring Calgary, travel into the Canadian Rockies and Banff National Park. This afternoon, enjoy your first guided hike on one of Banff's scenic trails. The next three nights are spent at the Brewster Mountain Lodge in Banff. Overnight is at the Canalta Hotel (3 nights).

Banff National Park Travel to Lake Louise and hike the spectacular Plain of Six Glaciers Trail, one of the most rewarding walks in the Rockies. Later, return to Banff where there is time to relax in the hot springs and explore the charming mountain town. 

Yoho National Park Spend the day discovering the natural wonders of Yoho National Park. Highlights include a hike around beautiful Emerald Lake, a visit to the Natural Bridge over the Kicking Horse River and the impressive Takakkaw Falls. 

Banff - Icefields Parkway - Jasper Travel along the world-famous Icefields Parkway, stopping to admire stunning lakes, waterfalls and mountain scenery. At the Columbia Icefield, enjoy a hike to the foot of the glacier before continuing to Jasper for a two-night stay at the Whistler's Inn. Our hotel for the next 2 nights is the Whistler's Inn.

Jasper National Park Today's adventure takes you to Mount Edith Cavell, where the Cavell Meadows Trail offers spectacular views of glaciers, alpine meadows and rugged mountain peaks. Later, visit Maligne Canyon and explore the town of Jasper. 

Jasper - Mount Robson Park - Clearwater Enjoy breathtaking views of Mount Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies at 3,954 metres, during a hike in Mount Robson Provincial Park. Continue to Clearwater, gateway to Wells Gray Provincial Park, for a two-night stay at the Best Western Plus Gateway to the Falls Hotel. 

Wells Gray Provincial Park Spend the day exploring Wells Gray Provincial Park, renowned for its dramatic waterfalls, pristine wilderness and excellent wildlife viewing opportunities. Highlights include Helmcken Falls and Dawson Falls. 

Clearwater - Kamloops - Whistler Travel through British Columbia's interior, with an optional visit to historic Hat Creek Ranch to learn about life during the Cariboo Gold Rush. Continue along the scenic Duffey Lake Road to Whistler for a two-night stay at Crystal Lodge.

Whistler Mountain - Garibaldi Provincial Park Ride to the top of Whistler Mountain for an alpine hike through Garibaldi Provincial Park, famous for its wildflower meadows and spectacular mountain scenery. Experience the Peak 2 Peak Gondola and, for those who wish, walk across the skybridge to the Raven's Eye lookout. 

Whistler - Vancouver Island - Ucluelet Follow the spectacular Sea to Sky Highway to North Vancouver before boarding the ferry to Vancouver Island. Visit Cathedral Grove to see ancient Douglas fir trees before continuing to Ucluelet on the island's rugged west coast. Two nights are spent at the Canadian Princess Lodge. 

Pacific Rim National Park Explore the stunning landscapes of Pacific Rim National Park, known for its sandy beaches, coastal rainforests and abundant wildlife. An optional whale-watching excursion offers opportunities to spot sea lions, sea otters and grey whales. 

Ucluelet - Victoria Travel south through Vancouver Island, passing through Chemainus and Duncan before arriving in Victoria. Enjoy time to explore British Columbia's capital city before an optional farewell dinner. Overnight is at The Vic Hotel.

Victoria - Vancouver Airport Transfer by BC Ferries from Victoria to Tsawwassen and continue to Vancouver International Airport. Arrival is scheduled for approximately 1:00 pm. Your tour concludes today, taking with it unforgettable memories of Western Canada.
